It’s been several days since I blogged so I thought I’d try to get caught up today.
I had really slacked on my diet but just started working out and watching what I eat again today. I found some of the Zumba videos I’ve heard so much about and thought I’d give those a try. I have watched a bit of one, it’s pretty advanced for a non-dancer but I’ll get it figured out. I love the music and it’s going to be fun learning! I also dug out all of my Tae Bo videos, I love those! They’re how I lost a bunch of weight after Jeff was born.
Work had really died down through most of August but has just started picking up again. For now I’m doing the writing myself but I’m expecting a bigger order in within the next week or so. Hope to get my team back into the swing of things soon.
I need to get outside and take pictures of my flower gardens again! My hydrangea (snowball bush) is huge with flowers right now. They’re all white though, I wish I had other colors, maybe someone reading this will want to share
Some of my autumn plants are starting to get those pretty autumn blooms and colors, I can’t wait! They’re so diverse and so pretty!
I got Hayleigh a new toy the other day that she loved so much she didn’t even beg for pizza crust! I took a few pictures and put them on facebook but here they are for those of you who aren’t on facebook very often:
It’s purple and green (obviously) and looks like a Mr. Potato Head or something. But the best part… its squeaker! She loves squeaky toys!
I’ve watched a few really good movies lately. One was The Boy in the Striped Pajamas. It was good as a view into the possible life of a family of a soldier who served under Hitler but other than that I didn’t like it very much. Thought I’d mention it because I watched it
The three I loved were The Notebook, which I’ve seen at least 3 times now. I cry every single time I watch that movie! I started crying even earlier this time because I knew what was coming up LOL!
Then I got into this Gabriel Byrne kick and watched Little Women and Emotional Arithmetic. If you’re wondering who Gabriel Byrne is, he played D’Artagnan in Man in the Iron Mask with Leo DiCaprio. He’s one of my favorite actors and he did a wonderful job in both of the movies I just mentioned.
Emotional Arithmetic was about 3 people who survived the Drancy detention camp together during WWII and reunited 35 years later. It’s a beautifully emotional story, but I have no idea if the characters were based on real people or 100% fictional.
Little Women – well, anyone who’s ever read it knows what it was about
Gabriel Byrne played Frederick, the professor Jo falls in love with.
I love having access to Tyrell’s Netflix!
Patrick’s watching Hulk right now. I think I’ll check Netflix and see what I can find. The two times we’ve already seen Hulk was good for me
It’s a good movie, but I’m not in a blow’em up mood
