Starting with what I did yesterday.
One of my best pictures of the day!

I pulled LOTS of weeds and misplaced flowers out of the flower garden. (no worries, I kept all the flowers to transplant
)

Now my shamrocks can breathe and grow!

I love the periwinkle/vinca minor/creeping myrtle (which ever you call it) but it literally takes over and can smother everything else out.
Look how pretty when draped over a rock. (I have LOTS of rock!)

Here it is trying to take over my big salmon colored azalea under Brittany’s bedroom window.

It’s so hard to pull it out of the alyssum without tearing out parts of the alyssum too. I was out for 6 hours yesterday untangling and saving as many things as possible. I’m convinced that if I’d been able to keep it cleaned up last year (work, college, house, family almost drove me insane last year lol) … but if I’d been able to keep it all cut back and cleaned up I really don’t think I’d be having problems with it this year. It’s relatively easy to manage. as long as it’s not so thick. It is going to be amazing on the hillside next to my back porch after the berry briers are gone!
So anyway.. after 6 hours of cleaning yesterday, here’s the end result.

More to do today, but I’m getting a late start. Sore muscles! I know getting back out there in the sunshine and heat will help
