I wanted to show mom the other berry briers in my back yard. Of course I got side tracked and took pictures of everything else too
I LOVE the contrast of my tiger lilies in with the lighter, more delicate looking columbines.

Going to have a lot of tiger lily blooms this year too.

Here’s that whole corner. You can see the big wide leaves of the hollyhocks coming up in the back ![]()

My sidewalk 4 days after transplanting the new day lilies and grasses.

Big hosta in the corner of the front porch.

My rose bush again. Sorry if you’re getting tired of seeing it. It’s just so full this year, I have to snap away ![]()

Roses from another angle. I almost feel like I’m showing off pics of a new baby… “and then she took another breath!! aww how cute!”

I love the contrast in color here too. During the spring I have the white azaleas and blue salvia like this. Later in the summer the salvia is still here but I have day lilies around it. This summer I hope some of my newly transplanted (red and yellow) day lilies will bloom.

Hostas by the back porch. Last year these didn’t do very well at all because of the slugs. (along with every other hosta and broad leafed plant I have!) I started using “Bug Getta” that I found at Lowes. LOVE the stuff!! It’s little pellets almost like rabbit food.

And… back to the reason I was out taking pics to begin with… Here are the berry briers to the left of my back porch.

These are to the right of the back porch.

And even more… You can see the corner of the storage building here. There are lots of berry briers out that way, then some on the hill close to the yard. (psst.. see the roses on the fence?? )
