The next mega-band?

I’m sitting here working and listening to the radio and Metallica came on. “The Day that Never Comes” is great even among some of the newest stuff on the radio now. Bottom line is… Metallica rocks. Always has and always will.

So my question is: Is there anyone right now that can fill those shoes? Who do you expect the next mega-band to be? I really like Hinder, Seether, Nickelback, Papa Roach.. the list goes on. But honestly, I don’t see that very many of the bands that are huge right now have the staying power Metallica has had over the years.
