she did it!

Or so she says anyway.

I hope she’s not pulling my leg again, but Sara says she filed for divorce!

She said she went to see him in jail and he started calling her names and told her she better enjoy the phone while she could use it because when he got out in January (instead of a year, he gets 6mo *major eye roll*) she wasn’t going to be allowed to use the phone or have contact with anyone.

She has a pretty serious history of lying, but I want so badly to believe everything she’s saying this time. She said she’s getting help from social services (CPS I guess?) and they’re helping her get into an apartment, she’ll only be paying $200 a month and she’ll be getting assistance for herself and the baby.

So instead of our phone call ending with this horrible sense of dread, I ended it by telling her how extremely proud I was of her for finally standing up for herself and the baby and making a move to make her life better!
