First I want to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my mom! Today’s her birthday
So now, why are my kids the awesome-est in the world? Because they’re mine
And because they had $40 between them (thanks to their grandpapa Trey) and they bought me some awesome birthday gifts to surprise me with yesterday when I picked them up from mom.
They got Hayleigh a couple new toys and some treats and they got me a small white laundry basket full of goodies! A half-dozen red roses with baby’s breath and fern, big heart-shaped “I love you” balloon, HUGE coffee mug (OMG it’s 2 cups worth of coffee in one mug, it’s awesome) a small pack of hershey kisses, a new pair of slippers with some kind of foam/gel in the bottom (SOOOO comfortable!!), a bath pillow, a back scrubber, a pack of 280 bendy straws (I hate the curved ice from our ice maker), a tan teddy bear, 2 new ponytail holders and 2 new butterfly clips (big ones for my thick hair).
I THINK that was all.. Oh and a candle with a cute pewter candleholder they said was from mom
(and thank you mom for the $20)
The kids are still telling us all about the fun they had while they were in Dollywood and showing us pictures of rides they rode (and explaining how long the lines were!!) … I’m thinking they had a really good time
.

Hey, you got some really great Birthday gifts. I would be proud of your kids too!
WOW – all I get is a hand made b-day card – which as you know is the best kind of card in the world!!!!
You got a good lot Michele! You do have a sweet bunch of kids – they sound like they were thinking only of you when they bought the gifts too – not many people do that these days. Most think about what THEY want to get you – not what YOU want or need.
While on our vacation, we’d originally planned to go to Dollywood but ended up running out of time, money, and patience. We were totally exhausted and couldn’t wait to get home & sleep!
Are we getting old or what?
