Wish he was here…

If you’ve read “about me” you’ve learned that my husband is a trucker. He’s gone a minimum of 10 days then home for a couple of days. Rinse. Repeat if necessary. And of course it’s always necessary because we have bills and the kids won’t stop eating! I say that because they’re polishing off another bag of popcorn right now. LOL!

Hubby was supposed to have been home today but the shipper (where he was supposed to pick up a load) canceled, leaving him to wait until the company he works for could find him another load going toward home. They didn’t find that until late this evening, but it doesn’t actually pick up till in the morning. So he’s sitting at a truck stop for the night. But he’s got his computer and cellular internet, so he and the kids are playing World of Warcraft together. I would be playing too, but my character is 30 levels lower than theirs I’ll catch up eventually.

I can’t wait till he gets here tomorrow though. He loves seeing the yard all clean and freshly mowed. The kids and I mowed and worked in the flower gardens yesterday. Ok, they mowed and I worked on the flower gardens I finished the mowing today. If it were up to my 10 year old, the yard would actually shrink! Instead of mowing all the way to the retaining wall or privacy fence, he chooses to stay about 3 feet away from them for some reason lol. So the flower gardens are starting to spring to life and the yard looks awesome, the house is somewhat clean and the dog’s getting a bath tomorrow.

Oh, I can’t believe I forgot to mention our little visitor today!! I was out mowing while the kids were working on school work when I turn around and there’s this little white pekingese puppy sitting there looking up at me. She was the sweetest little thing!! She was all happy and kissy when I picked her up. My shih tzu wasn’t the happiest girl in the world seeing me love on another dog, but she was ok with her after she got to meet her She belongs to one of our neighbors and evidently she was just out for a stroll
